A Medical School graduate of the prestigious University of Cambridge in England, Dr. Siamak Agha is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.  After graduating from the University of Cambridge Medical School, he completed his General Surgery, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at one of the most respected Plastic Surgery programs in the United States at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  In addition to his Medical degree, Dr. Agha also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of London where he was awarded a First Class Honor degree in Biochemistry and Physiology, and while at Cambridge on a scholarship sponsored by the Wellcome Trust he was awarded an additional scholarships by the Medical Rsearch Council and Overseas Research Council of England to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology.  His study of Molecular Biology lead to several articles and patents in the field of Gene Regulation.

In 1998 Dr. Agha joined the University of Pittsburgh, serving as a National Institute of Health Faculty in Biologic and Gene Therapy.  While at the University of Pittsburgh he completed his training in General Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and then became a Clinical Assistant Professor of (Plastic) Surgery.
